Deep in the woods, where no-one dares tread, lives a grim, grisly Groll, who fills children with dread!

And he fills them with dread because he likes to eat them – in pies, on toast and in stews!

Have you heard about the Groll who lives deep in the woods? 

Well, he’s still there and he’s still hungry - for children!  But children are proving a little bit tricky to catch, so the Groll has come up with a plot – a Toffee Plot!

It’s almost Christmas at the Grubby Bugs Forest School, but whilst the pupils are eagerly awaiting a special visit from Father Christmas, the Groll has had some bad news – his entire family are coming for Christmas lunch! 

How on earth is the Groll going to catch enough children to feed a bunch of hungry (child-eating) Grolls?!
